New custom sign by team @giganticavl. I designed and hand fabricated the timber structure. Also discovered several rocks in the ground during install. You can see the one in the foreground I pulled out with my bare hands. 😜
This was the first sign I designed for @giganticavl when we started teaming up last year. Always fun to play with double sided asymmetry.
It’s taken a little longer than the typical project to fulfill due to permitting hurdles and fabricator foibles. But we got it done and we’re all happy with how it turned out. Shout out to @chukkb for helping save the day with some last minute plasma cutting.
What I love about sign design is the blend of disciplines. Form and function. Architecture, construction, information design, graphic design, way finding, experiential design, typography… They all come together on a project like this. Lots to explore and play with. Never a dull day.
Testimonials from amazing clients are what keeps me going. Solving problems for my clients by bringing myself fully to the table with an open mind and heart. We listen and learn, explore and discover, ruminate and apply hard earned experience to collaboratively lead the way to a winning solution.⠀

Really proud of this sign I designed for @manna_foodbank during my time at Fastsigns, who did a fantastic job on the fabrication and install with help from our friends at Dover Crane.
This was a labor of love and an excercise in patient persistence. Many hoops to jump through with the city on this one. It required not just the typical structural engineering, but with additional special considerations for being in the flood plain. I now know what base flood elevation is. Always learning.
